Accidental Optical Illusions

“Huh – look at that.” Too often, we say that to ourselves when certain circumstances allow us to see a visual coincidence by brief accident. Sometimes there’s another witness. If not, the brief visual entertainment rarely warrants a mention later on. It’s just one of those things.

On far more rare occasions, a camera captures these little magical moments. The following images were not staged, at least with much thought beforehand. For some of them, I’m sure the photographer knew what he or she was capturing, perhaps moving the camera just so before clicking.

But I believe the following little optical illusions – gathered from Russian websites, it so happens – are all examples of the right time / right place / with camera phenomenon. (Click each thumbnail for a better look.)
