Got the Doodle Bug?
| Leonardo DaVinci doodled. Yes, your nasty habit of scribbling visual nonsense on book covers, blotters and note pads is shared by one of the most inventive artists in history. Cool you.
I found a place where such an art form is celebrated unabashedly. DoodlerBlog.com is, as they put it, “The place where the world gets to see your doodles IMMORTALIZED on the web.” No kidding. And a lot of these doodles are fantastic works of art. Sure, a shrink would have a field day with some of these, but you can just groove to the aesthetics of them. You can just browse, or use the site search engine to zero in on themes and artists. Submit your own doodle using their “Nifty Doodle Submitter Thingy,” an online form that accepts your name, email address, and of course, your doodle. The doodle must be no larger than 1 MB, and is limited to these file types: GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP, and PDF. Alternately, you can email your doodle to doodlerblog@gmail.com, or register for a free user account.You can even subscribe so that every newly posted doodle is emailed to you.
