The Candle on the Cake!

The Candle on the Cake!

I ain’t doing this again! Oh, the site will stay up and some of my various contributors will continue to post on a weekly basis, but only to the tune of three or four blogs each week. Although they will tend to be simpler in nature than our previous pace, we expect to continue being informative, entertaining, and of course a bit snarly.

As editor of every single blog on this site, I have requested some time off to direct my writing and editing elsewhere. My intention is to write longer pieces for commercial publication. I have developed a discipline of daily writing that is crucial to this task. Some quick, imprecise math leads me to believe that our word count on this site has exceeded 110,000 in just the past year.

Not that word count is the only aspect of writing a book. I’ll need interesting characters in a well-paced plot that is told in an entertaining way. I’ll need to maintain a daily regimen of writing and re-writing. I’ll need Spellcheck and Grammar-check. And further re-writing.

Well, I better get to work. I’ll let you know how I’m doing.
