A picture is worth a thousand words (pre-recession; it’s probably only worth about 750 words today), and it’s my job to be the graphics editor on this site. Not only do I have to scrounge up the graphics for everybody else’s blogs, but I have to come up with some sort of graphics theme of my own once a week and either write about it or show it.

Who am I to have achieved this illustrious position? I was the first one to answer the ad. So fine, okay. I’ll make it easy on myself. I’ll post those irritating emails I get from friends of friends of mine who have nothing better to do at work than to forward bogus computer virus alerts and doctored pix of fruit-animal hybrids or whatever. I’ll link to online videos that hopefully fit the theme of this site (what was it again? kvetching? whatever.) I’ll even post my own digitals, for what they’re worth, maybe Photoshopped for your amusement.

But to get this party started, let me do some major kissing up to the boss by presenting his social satire video project “21-12-2012.” It’s time-sensitive in that it was made as a pre-election warning against the possible (probable?) ramifications of a Sarah Palin presidency, yet timeless in the many social topics it broaches. Hey really, you’ll dig this vid. It was made by 20 people from 4 different countries. The power of webcams!
