PollPigeon is a new polling tool that incorporates itself directly into Twitter. Smart idea, since Twitter is all about fleeting thoughts and knee-jerk reactions.

Just go to PollPigeon.com and check out their most popular – and usually vacuous – polls. Which is the better Jonas Brothers video? Who’s the sexiest man in the world? Is Miley Cyrus a slut?

Oo, check out the “Which celeb should never go bald?” poll for a nice collection of Photoshopped bald pix. They all look like thumbs!

Anyway, make your choice in any poll and another page comes up that prompts you to log into your Twitter account through PollPigeon’s interface. Like so many other sites, you have to “trust” them with your Twitter username and password.

Click “Allow” and the next page you see shows the up-to-the-Tweet results of that particular poll. Be aware that your choice has just been posted to Twitter, too, with a link that brings other interested parties to that particular poll. In this Public Opinion Poll, your vote is also very Public.

The polls are categorized by “Trending Polls,” “Top Polls,” and “New Polls.” You can even create your own poll, which involves posting a poll question in 60 characters or less, uploading a required poll image, and offering at least two answers to choose from (in either text or image form). Choose a language, pick one or more category tags, and off you go!

Promotion being the name of the game, the default setting (which you can deactivate) sends your new poll as a Direct Message to every one of your Twitter Followers.

Also, you may “Bid” to have your poll promoted to over 185,000 PollPigeon Twitter Followers. You bid with PigeonPoints, which you earn by answering polls and quizzes, entering contests, and of course spending cash on their sponsors.
