Today’s Magic Word is: Whistle

What to do with your excess hot air…

I came across an old box of small musical instruments this week and went to town blowing on this, that, and the other one. The high noted penny whistles, the low toned 2-note train whistle, various flutes, slide whistles, police whistles, and even a couple of bird calls.

My dog left the room. Neighborhood cats came to my back door to register their complaints. I’m sure any neighbor within earshot thought I was watching a Warner Brothers cartoon marathon.

I switched from flutophone to ocarina to Didgeridoo and amazed myself that I still remembered how to play these things. I guess they really are that easy once you get the hang of them.
