Where Did I Put That Cat? Transmitter-Receivers for the Hard of Remembering
These devices are usually billed as great finders of lost car keys. Look, if you’re too simple-minded not to keep those important keys in the same place or two (in my case, hanging by the front door or in my right front pocket – period!), you’ll no doubt lose any device that will help you find them.
Okay, that may be a bit harsh. If you don’t have enough grey matter to keep track of your wallet, TV remote, cell phone, etc. – these “memory tools” can be a big help. The range can vary from 25 feet to 25 yards, and the receiver’s beep may be a bit muffled if the device is buried amid other junk or in a distant room, but at least your odds of finding them are far better than if you perform your own unaided circular search pattern.
But most importantly, these little transmitter-receiver devices are fantastic for locating things that have a reasonable chance of walking off on their own. Attach a small receiver to your cat or dog’s collar and you won’t spend hours wandering the neighborhood hunting them down.
My dog has even learned that when I hit my transmitter and his locator starts beeping, it’s time to come home (food awaits!).
Also, I nailed my neighbor who was stealing my newspaper by seeding a paper with one of these receivers and setting it off as he was running back into his apartment. The swine.

Of these four color-coded locators, two are designed to slip into your wallet or purse. The other two can hang from your keychain or your pet’s collar or whatever. Comes with double-sided tape and extra batteries.

These four color-coded locators can be attached to anything that moves or can be misplaced, and the set also comes with double-sided tape. Each receiver has a unique response signal that blares at 85 decibels.

This set of 2 locators will actually send a signal back to you, so even if you can’t hear the locator signal right away, you know you’re close. The locator sound is loud, plus a flashing light indicates you’re close.
