Your Very Own Bumper Sticker Maker

My old man took us to Carlsbad Caverns many moons ago (about 550 moons, actually). We wandered the drippy, cold caves, saw the blind, colorless cave fish, and watched the schmaltzy American-flag-projected-onto-the-wavy-cavern-wall show. Roadside Americana at its very best.

When we got back to the parking lot, we discovered that the fine folks who ran Carlsbad Caverns back then had taken it upon themselves to affix a “Carlsbad Caverns” bumper sticker to every single car in the lot.

The Dreaded Carlsbad Caverns Bumper Sticker

If we were still in the caves, my old man would have ended up with a stalactite in his head when he hit the ceiling! Man, was he mad! And he let everyone know about it. He considered his car defaced.

Looking back, I’m amazed that bumper stickers were once free in this great land of ours. At least you can make your own nowadays. This Bumper Sticker package works on all Macs and PCs. It comes with 500 clip art images – but you can add your own as well – and there are 30 fonts. The waterproof bumper sticker paper works on any color printer.

Make up your own slogans, spread your personal message, and entertain the driving masses.

Just stay away from my old man’s car!

I can’t blame your (our) dad at all for getting angry about the forced bumper sticker. That should be a personal choice of the vehicle’s owner. It’s like checking into a hotel and waking up with a tattoo of the Day’s Inn logo.

Perhaps that’s not a fair comparison. Dad’s car is long gone along with it’s unwelcomed bumper sticker, but the Day’s Inn tattoo will haunt me for the rest of my life. :-P
